12 Fakemon based of the traditional signs of the Zodiac and a weird pattern. Fire Signs have Fire Type; Air have Flying; Earth have Ground; Water have Water. Every other type, except Dragon and Fairy only appears once; every pokedex body style appears once and all pokedex colors appear once (some appear twice, because there is less than 12 total). All would be third stages evolving from an existing second stage or existing basic with a new baby. All would be location evolutions based on being at or near the 'zodiac table'. I actually wrote these awhile back but scrapped them because they weren't liked by an RP that I was making fakes for. I will sprite and/or illustrate them if the dA gods are interested though. Some of them do have WEIRD type changes on EVO; I admit.

I dropped off the map for a bit. I'm an honest person and I keep no secrets, I'll admit it's because of depression. I had one active commission when I disappeared and I'm going to finish that. Otherwise, I'm not sure if I'm staying HERE; I do need to keep working though. on art or game programming or experiments. It does me know good to stagnate and get depressed.

I'm hosting a texture design contest.

If you take this link, you will find the pokeball texturer app. There's not much to it; simply put, copypasta any valid image URL into the textbox at the top and press the update button and it will use your image as a texture on the Pokeball. Hitting update without changing the URL will grab the sample pokeball from my gallery. The Open/Close button causes the pokeball to open and close it's lid. Any image will be automapped to the pokeball, but using the template found in my gallery:


You can tell exactly where each portion of your paint job will go. UV design has one obvious seam in the back. You may minimize it's effect via mirroring pixels between the seam edges; it's a necessary evil though I'm afraid; the pokeball with have distortion problems with no seams and the only feasible 'better' seam would be symmetrical only; which I didn't want to assume all pokeball designs were (the Rocketball from the TCG and the GS Ball from Gold/Silver era, for example, are not).

There are two categories for winning the contest:
1. The most unique non-canon pokeball design the template is textured with. [TCG-only pokeballs, such as Dual Ball and Rocket Ball count, as well as the anime only Dark and Clone balls count as canon.]
2. The best quality art mapped to the pokeball, canon or not.

Prizes aren't decided though depend on how many people enter.
I guarantee there will be at least a prize in each category, if there is a minimum of 10 qualified entries.

I'm reorganizing both my accounts completely. This is part of my process of making myself more presentable and getting a personal website reading to search for employ.


will have most old renders of 3D moved to the scrapbook and replaced with a multiview meme I'm putting together to display them better. Viewer is also getting updated for those who like to actually view and manipulate the model completely. Older classwork is being organized by series or type.


will have most older work moved to the scrapbook (read: things I thought were cool when I first made them but now consider relatively crap; such as my first scratch sprite attempts). Of remaining work; most will be sorted into the groups scratch sprites, sprite edits and sprite fusions. Wormadam being the weird exception as the head is the canon head, but most the bodies are scratch, while some are more fusion and they vary too much. Only the wheel will remain in the gallery though; the older drafts, which were updated or even resprited to make the wheel are being scrapbooked. All items that aren't completely scratched (as well as most the lower quality stuff being scrapbooked are on the table to ask for a resprite if someone wants to see it (seriously; I'd actually like to do that)).

It's research for one of my game design classes. If you would be so kind as to respond, people who have played pokemon games only, please; and spread it on, I'd be grateful. As of this posting, I've gotten it on Smogon, Serebii, Bulbagarden and several other smaller forums and have 45 responses. I'm looking to get it up to 250 by Tuesday and max out the account at 1000 before the month is up. Thanks.
